A Special Visit to OpenCRM

We love being based in North Yorkshire, as a company we are passionate about Richmond and its surrounding areas. We think it’s a great place to live and to do business—it’s been working well for us for the last ten years.
That’s why it was so great to welcome our new local MP, Rishi Sunak to the office to chat all about our ten-year anniversary, the growth of the business, and our exciting future plans.
Technology is such an important industry in the UK and we were keen to highlight to Rishi the contribution we make up here in North Yorkshire. Everyone thinks London is the technology hub and where you need to be to do business – but we truly believe our team is one of the best around.
Rishi took the time to speak to each member of the team, listening to their thoughts and views of the workplace and Richmond. He also discussed his priorities for the town and local businesses.
What was interesting to find out was that Rishi gained a Masters at Stanford University in California and co-founded a technology company in Silicon Valley. So he must have felt right at home coming to our software company in the heart of Silicon Dale!
It was a pleasure to welcome Mr. Sunak to OpenCRM, he’s welcome back to our office anytime – next time we might even ask him to make a cup of tea.
Before I got my start in the tech industry as part of Apple’s UK Mac launch team, I was a professional drummer (notice I didn’t say musician). But once I got in, I was hooked and I’ve been involved in the tech industry, primarily software development, for over 35 years. I founded this company and I now have the enviable title of System Architect (as well as Managing Director) here at OpenCRM.
