Activity views allow you to easily see which Activities are overdue: dates are displayed in red when the Activity is overdue, green when the due date is present, or black when the due date is set for the future.

Just create the Activity (call, meeting or task) and assign it to them. They will be notified of the activity being set up for them and it will appear in their Calendar.
You can also track the Activity through a shared Calendar view or by looking at your delegated activity view, helping you keep on top of activities that you have asked others to complete.
