Storage Costs

File Storage - How do we Stack Up?

File Storage means the amount of storage capacity for documents and files outside of the database which is traditionally where these documents are held. We have created a couple of examples below to try and help quantify the likely costs for additional storage with your CRM system.

This first example is for a 7 user system with a modest overall file storage requirement of 25GB. We have shown the amount of storage that is allocated per user/system as part of the normal subscription costs.

This second example assumes a total of 12 active CRM system users with an overall file storage requirement of 50GB. Again we have shown the amount of file storage that would be provided as part of the subscription taken.

Our third example looks at a higher usage count of 50 active users with the inevitable file storage requirement of 100GB. Again we have shown the amount of file storage that would be provided as part of the subscription taken.

Okay, just out of interest what would the annual cost be to get the same file storage with Salesforce?

Based on published figures 2TB of storage with Salesforce would cost more than £360,000 - well obviously it wouldn't as they would scale the costs accordingly, but its an interesting thought isn't it.

Note : These examples are calculated using information readily available across the web and from the suppliers own web sites (pricing pages, forums and articles).
